Wearable Robotics for a better future. | Basilio Lenzo | TEDxBergamo

Basilio introduces the new device of Wearable Robotics.
Basilio Lenzo, 28 y.o. is a mechanical engineer, graduated with honors in 2010 from the University of Pisa and Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna of Pisa.
When he is 23 years old, he enters in Ferrari Formula 1 where he run a dissertation on the braking system of the Ferrari F10. Fascinated by the research, he decides to enrol in a doctorate in Innovative Technologies at the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna of Pisa, the robotics lab Percro. Here he is particularly concerned with exoskeletons, or wearable robots, rehabilitation / support of people with disabilities / elderly.
Thanks to the synergy with other colleagues, they implement new methods for this type of robot, which results in three patents, various scientific publications and a trial period of six months at Columbia University in New York.
